"Weeds"
words & music: Scott Luscombe & Reeta Roo

We are weeds, better than flowers,
Weeds, you can pull us for hours,
Weeds, even poison us and we"ll still grow.
Weeds, are smarty pants.
We place ourselves next to look-alike plants,
We don't need no stinkin' irrigation system to grow!
Some will say that we're horrific,
But they can't say we're not prolific!

Weeds, we're taking control.
We scatter our seeds by sticking to clothes.
We make all the pollen grains that give you stuffed up noses.
Weeds lead ubiquitous lives.
We grow through blockades that humans devise,
From unstoppable crabgrass to sticky foxtails
in between your toes.
We don't worry when we die,
'Cause seeds will sprout up as we dry.
Weeds, we've got all those prissy flowers licked,
'Cause even after all those gals have kicked,
Don't you worry 'cause you know there always will be weeds!
